Rich, floral aromas of pineapple, honeysuckle, and fresh apricot; highlighted with brioche, and vanilla. The mouth has a creamy texture, layered with flavors of nectarine, melon, and Meyer lemon. Firm acidity provides a lengthy finish of citrus, mineral, and spice.

Patricia Green Bishop Creek Vineyard, Oregon ‘10 13 gl 52. btl
Bishop Creek resides at the top of a hill in a little valley off of Highway 47 a few miles north of the town of Yamhill. This already shows some sweet, crunchy pomegranate-style fruits with some tempering blackberry notes and there is a bright beam of acidity running through the wine that makes it jazzy, bright and focused.
Patricia Green Estate Vineyard Old Vine, Oregon ‘10 14. gl 56. btl
This wine displays very pure qualities of the Ribbon Ridge Appellation in that it is piercingly red fruited and shows terrific minerality. The Old Vine bottling has incredible persistence and is layered in a way that gives it depth that mere concentration can never provide. This wine is a charmer and seductress.
Alex Gambal Savigny-Les-Beaune Vieilles Vignes, Burgundy ‘09 14.50 gl 58. btl
Though marked by toasty oak, this shows fine intensity, depth of fruit and silkiness. Cherry, black currant, mineral and spice notes abound, and this resonates on the long aftertaste. Wine Spectator 91 points.
Rodano Poggialupi IGT Toscana, Italy ‘09 6. gl 24. btl
The 2009 Poggialupi offers up plenty of strawberries and crushed flowers in a medium-bodied, vinous style best suited to near-term drinking. There is an attractive freshness that carries through to the caressing finish.
Bookwalter BookMark Red Blend, Washington ‘NV 6. gl 24. btl
The first sip offers sweet fruit with a mouth coating mid-palate full of berry cobbler, plums and chocolate covered cherries. Secondary flavors of dried herbs, resin, tobacco and bakers chocolate are followed by a lush, lingering finish that is complemented by the natural sweetness and acidity of the wine. Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet.
Hook & Ladder Cabernet Russian River, California ‘09 8. gl 32. btl
Blended with a small amount of Merlot from the same ranch and aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels for 20 months. A vibrant mouth feel of currants, spicy mixed berries is followed by a supple and smooth strawberry and cocoa finish.
